On the regular aero covers I was averaging 200-210 wh/mi at 70 mph which is already incredible efficiency. On these I am averaging 180-200 wh/mi at 70 mph. My degradation basically went down a tad bit because these covers can provide back a few miles of range throughout the whole battery. I did a drive at mostly 80 mph and still got below 220-230 wh/mi which is literally just above the rated range for this car at 70 mph (219 wh/mi). I will be taking them off in 2 years when the lease ends so I don't know how difficult they are to remove. The photon aero covers were harder to remove than expected. The basic concept is easy, but the covers take significantly more force than you may think. I had to go one by one for about half the wheel before the whole cover came off. I would highly recommend these covers to anyone who wants a performance wheel design on their non performance 2024+ model 3. Thank you Rimetrix!

Verified ownerThe first set of rims I bought for my Tesla. Highlander fell off while driving at any speed over 40 miles an hour. I was able to get a refund. The second set of rims that I bought stayed on very well, however they could not be removed (in order to rotate the tires) without breaking the tabs that held them in place and then they started falling off. The rims that I bought from rim trucks have been absolutely perfect, with a mechanism that allows them to be installed and removed easily and yet keep them firmly in place at all times. They are the best I have ever had either on my Highlander or on my 2019 model three.

Honestly, these are probably the best wheel covers on the market. There’s dozens of websites that source wheel covers from AliExpress and they are very poor quality and with time will pop off on certain wheels. I purchased these wheel covers because they looked stylish, and I really like the matte finish—they definitely enhance the overall appearance of my car. Once installed, they look great and feel secure.
However, removing them was far more difficult than advertised. I accidentally forgot to add the foam on one of the covers and had to remove it to fix the issue. The removal process was extremely hard and required much more force than expected. My fingers were throbbing afterward from trying to get it off, which was frustrating.
Overall, I do recommend these wheel covers for their appearance and quality, but the removal process could definitely be improved or better explained. With some adjustments, they could be an excellent product.

You’re absolutely right that removing a fully seated cover can take more effort than expected. We dialed in the retention strength to ensure the covers stay secure even in extreme road conditions. Removal can be a bit trickier on this particular design because the 14‑spoke layout leaves less room for your hands.
One tip that helps tremendously is using rubberized grip gloves when taking them off. The added traction makes it much easier to get a solid hold on the tabs without straining your fingers.
